Biography
About Me
I’m an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. My work centers on improving the prediction and management of water resources through the integration of hydrologic modeling, data science, and decision support tools.
Education
- Ph.D. in Water Resources Engineering – Oklahoma State University
- M.S. in Water Resources Engineering – Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany
- B.S. – Alemaya University
Research Overview
My research focuses on watershed-scale hydrologic and water quality modeling, stormwater management, and the application of data science in environmental systems. I develop decision support tools (DSTs) to help improve water resource planning and management across various landscapes and communities.
